Here's a rich, succulent and almost chewy expression of Piedmont's Barbera grape. The 2015 Barbera d'Alba Gisep is a full-throttle red wine from a hot vintage. Like the other wines from Massolino, this wine boasts a subtle sweet side that is not too apparent in terms of taste but that does make a difference in terms of the texture and the softness of the mouthfeel. Ultimately, that singular characteristic makes this Barbara a real treat to drink straight out of the gate. However, you do feel the 14.5% alcohol. Only 5,000 bottles were made.
