The flagship 2005 Solesce is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, with the balance Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec. Dark ruby-colored, it reveals an excellent bouquet of wood smoke, pencil lead, spice box, black currant, and blackberry. Full-bodied and structured on the palate, it has layers of savory black fruits, potential complexity, and enough structure to evolve for 3-4 years. It will offer a drinking window extending from 2013 to 2025. Brian Carter’s motto is “A passion for the art of blending”.
