The Chassagne-Montrachet displayed stone and mineral aromatics as well as a gravel and lemon-filled, medium-bodied, well-focused and refined core of fruit. It should be at its best between 1999 and 2003. All of Drouhin's whites, with the sole exception of the Montrachet, were bottled between early September and the end of October, 1997.
