The outstanding 2008 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Petits Pieds d-Armand won't make anyone forget the extraordinary 2007, but it is a generous wine for this vintage. Its dark plum/ruby color is followed by abundant aromas of garrigue, kirsch, pepper and raspberries. Medium to full-bodied and silky smooth with lots of glycerin, no hard edges and surprising depth and texture for a 2008, it can be enjoyed over the next 7-8 years.
