The 2009 Fiano di Avellino comes across as a touch compact, most likely owing to its recent bottling. All of the classic Fiano signature aromas and flavors are in evidence, with subtle notes of earthiness and ash that complement the fruit. The Fiano is a touch less floral than the Greco but offers just as much length and finesse. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2014. These new releases from Terredora are among the most impressive I tasted.
