The kirsch-looking 2008 Barón de la Joyosa Gran Reserva might have limited interest for our readers. It's a blend of Garnacha, Tempranillo and Cari?ena aged for two years in French and American oak barrels. It's reminiscent of an old-time Rioja, with it's golden wire around the bottle. It has developed aromas of a long aging in used wood, with camphor, shoe polish and a touch of leather. The palate has fully resolved tannins and flavors that replicate the notes found in the nose. 23,000 bottles.
