The medium to dark ruby-colored 1999 Touraine Gamay reveals dark berry aromas. On the palate, pepper, blackberries, and cassis can be found in its flavorful, expressive character. This wine is the result of hand-picked grapes that undergo a severe sorting process, and then go through intracellular fermentation. It is highly expressive, loaded with fruit, and is easygoing, thirst-quenching, as well as somewhat firm and tight in the finish. Drink it over the next 12-18 months.
