The 2005 Extended Tirage Brut lives up to its name: ten years if you want to know the exact length of tirage. And that results in a quite lovely bouquet with brioche, yellow flowers and orange cordial on the precise nose that gently unfolds with each swirl of the glass. The palate is well balanced, soft in the mouth with a prick of acidity to ensure sufficient tension and nervosité. Lemon sorbet and orange zest define that finish, which lingers nicely in the mouth. This comes recommended - an excellent Oregonian sparkler for those special occasions.
