Foxen’s 2005 Pinot Noirs are more restrained, streamlined, and neither as powerful nor impressive as their 2004s, but they will be admired by those looking for more subtlety and elegance. The dark ruby-hued 2005 Pinot Noir Sea Smoke Vineyard is more closed aromatically, but offers impressive notes of sweet red and black fruits, underbrush, and wood.
