The Argiano 2020 Non Confunditur is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 25% Sangiovese. The bouquet is broad and generous, and although this wine is not especially chiseled or deep, it does display a full bouquet of easy black fruit aromas. Sweet cherry and blackberry are folded into exotic spice, cinnamon and cardamom. It ends on an openly sweet note. An ample 70,000 bottles were made.

A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Sangiovese, the Argiano 2019 Non Confunditur (with 100,000 bottles released) is a terrific value proposition with lots of freshness and easy aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, baked clay, some black olive and grilled rosemary. The wine goes down easily with a soft approach to the palate and medium-rich concentration. This food-friendly Tuscan red is aged in neutral oak, and it would make a great partner to grilled sausage and onions.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Sangiovese (25%), Merlot (20%) and Petit Verdot (5%), the 2016 Non Confunditur is an entry-level Tuscan red from the Montalcino area in the southern part of the region. My initial impression of the wine was a bit off-putting, mostly because of a bright berry bitterness that jolts the palate and makes your mouth pucker. With just a few vigorous swirls, that hard edge had lifted. Despite those rough beginnings, I am happy to recommend this wine for those seeking value buys from this beautiful part of Italy. Some 150,000 bottles were made.

You get amazing value with the 2015 Non Confunditur by the celebrated Argiano estate in Montalcino, Tuscany. The wine is composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese. It presents a mid-weight approach with bright berry and forest bramble aromas followed by softer tones of tobacco and savory spice. I'd suggest putting a couple of cases of this wine away for those spontaneous and convivial moments when the whole family is crowded around the kitchen.

Argiano's 2013 Non Confunditur is Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and Sangiovese. The wine opens to a dark ruby color and a rich, velvety appearance. This is a very attractive blended red from Tuscany because it doesn't show the cloying heaviness or dense extraction you get with many of the other protagonists in the super Tuscan category. In fact, No Confunditur is approachable and fresh with a good level of crisp acidity that would pair next to lasagna or pici pasta with wild boar sauce.
