The 2021 Garnacha Blanca has a similar profile as the Torrontés, with moderate alcohol and very high acidity. This comes from the vines they have been regrafting, different biotypes from a massal selection. The wine is floral and perfumed, delicate and ethereal, with Mediterranean and citrus notes, mixing ripeness and power with freshness and elegance. It has 13.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.23 and 6.1 grams of acidity. Like all the whites, it fermented and matured in oak barrel for five months. 1,658 bottles were filled in April 2022.

The white Garnacha tends to deliver in warm and dry years, as is the case with the 2019 Garnacha Blanca, which feels expressive and varietal with the textbook notes of waxy apples and a creamy and Mediterranean touch of aromatic herbs that make it very attractive. It has deep flavors revealing full development of the grapes, and it's round and lush. It has low alcohol, like the Torrontés, and more freshness and acidity than any of the other white varieties. The wine fermented and matured in cask for five months. I love it. 1,054 bottles were filled in March 2020.

They wanted to recover a white variety that had always been present in the Rioja vineyards with the 2018 Garnacha Blanca, produced with grapes picked after a challenging growing season and a not-so-easy harvest. It fermented in French oak barrels with neutral yeasts and matured in barrel with the fine lees that were periodically stirred. All these whites were bottled a few weeks ago, and the wines feel very young and tender. But I can already see the personality of the Garnacha Blanca, a grape that Mendoza thinks has very high potential, and this wine has alcohol and acidity. The palate is vibrant and has higher acidity and freshness than the Torrontés and Tempranillo Blanco, and it feels very focused and clean. All the whites I tasted felt very pure and transparent. This should age nicely in bottle. 1,724 bottles were filled in March 2019. No 2017 was bottled, as they lost the crop to frost; the few grapes they could save went to the white blend 5V.

As with the other white varietals, the grapes for the 2016 Garnacha Blanca were handpicked from the individual vines of the variety, which are intermixed in the vineyards. It fermented with indigenous yeasts in new French oak barriques and matured in contact with the lees for five months before bottling. There are some varietal aromas of waxy apples, with good ripeness and a volatile touch, quite fruit-driven with almost imperceptible oak. It's a white of character, with volume and freshness and a clean, persistent finish. 1,126 bottles were filled in March 2017.

The 2015 Garnacha Blanca is very balanced, because it's a variety that adapts well to very poor soils and behaves well in warm vintages, as is the case with 2015. There are no excesses of any kind here, I found terrific balance and elegance. Garnacha Blanca was a classical variety in the zone, but it had almost disappeared. Mendoza only has a bunch of small plots in some vineyards and in 2015 only produced 648 bottles of it. The palate is fresh, with good acidity, and a mineral, almost salty finish.
