The 2011 Reserva also feels a little unlike 2011, very fresh and balanced in a way that reminded me of the great 2010, aromatic, fresh, long and very pleasant. There are five different lots that total 100,000 bottles.

For now I can recommend the 2010 Matarromera Reserva, a showy, aromatic Tempranillo aged for 18 months in a mixture of French and American oak barrels, which has aromas of barbecued meat, candied plums, cigar ash, chocolate and graphite. The palate is full-bodied, with good concentration, is juicy, chewy, and powerful but with good freshness. Drink now-2018.
