The 2016 Shiraz features plenty of vanilla and plum on the nose. It seems less herbal than the 2010, although it does pick up some peppermint flavors. It's medium to full-bodied, with a creamy mid-palate but also some drying tannins on the finish.

Made in American oak, the 2010 Shiraz shows some dill-like aromas, along with plenty of vanilla. There's also a core of cherry fruit in this medium to full-bodied wine, which is supple and velvety on the palate. It turns silky and picks up hints of baking spices on the finish, making for a pleasant wine to drink now and over the next few years.
