The 2005 Gran Reserva has a nice bright ruby color and a developed balsamic nose of leather, cedar wood, sweet spices, blonde tobacco, smoked meat and cherries in liqueur. It has fully resolved tannins in a wine that is completely polished, more on the light side of the Gran Reservas, which is drinking well today. Drink 2014-2016.
This historical name from Haro has been owned by the Vivanco family since 2002 and they are making great efforts to revive the name and improve the quality of the wines. They are on the right path.
