Expensive, yes, but very elegant. Wows the palate with a tsunami of black cherry tart, mushu plum sauce, red currant, licorice, pepper and sandalwood flavors, with a streak of yummy dark chocolate. For all the richness, the wine is absolutely dry. The tannins are big and thick, but drinkable now. Doesn’t seem likely to age well, but terrific over the next 3–4 years.——S.H.(11/1/2010)—— 94
