The Lamothe-Guignard has a light, pleasant bouquet of dried honey and pressed flowers that is clean and understated, but I suspect the aromatics will blossom by the time of bottling. The palate is well-balanced with a light dusting of botrytis, but it feels very attenuated toward the pointed finish.

The Lamothe-Guignard has a light pear and honey-scented bouquet that takes time to unwind in the glass and eventually evolves a pleasant brioche-tinged aroma. The palate is medium-bodied with a rounded, viscous entry but somehow, it never really builds on the promise, and I find the finish comparatively flat. Hopefully this will improve during maturation.
