Two-hundred (200) cases were made of the 100% Syrah 1990 Leyrat. Its distinctive, minty, cassis-scented nose is reminiscent of the Heitz Martha's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep, rich, and full-bodied, with excellent concentration, and a clean, rich, smooth-as-silk finish, it should drink well for 7-8 years. This is a well-endowed, impressively made wine.
