The 2020 Piemonte Chardonnay Monteriolo (with 10,000 bottles made) is a layered and rich expression of the French grape that is shaped by ripe fruit and careful oak aging. It ferments in barrique and ages on the lees for nine months. The wine is textured and soft with peach, honey, spice and vanilla cream. There is some oiliness from the hot vintage.

The Coppo 2018 Piemonte Chardonnay Monteriolo offers mature pear and apricot with spice and a creamy texture at the back. This barrique-fermented Chardonnay is aged on the lees for nine months, and it sees a good amount of bottle age before its commercial release. With 10,000 bottles made, this is a medium to full-bodied white to pair with white meat or shellfish.

Coppo's 2010 Chardonnay Monteriolo opens to a pretty golden color and shapely aromas of apricot, passion fruit, creamy vanilla and toasted nut. The 2007 Chardonnay Monteriolo shows plenty of varietal character and terrific integration of oak, something that hasn’t always been the case.
