The Pouilly-Fuisse Champs-Murgers (a blend of recently purchased 15 year old parcels in the Champs and Murgers vineyards) was harvested at 14% natural alcohol. It displays a rich, creamy nose of white flowers, nuts, and stones. On the palate, this medium-to-full-bodied, gorgeously ripe, and velvety wine is crammed with sweet pears, marzipan, and anise flavors. While I suspect that it has a very modest amount of residual sweetness, it would certainly qualify as a dry wine. Projected maturity: now-2005.
