Sourced from the Scopus Vineyard, on Sonoma Mountain, Covenant's 2020 Chardonnay Lavan gets the full treatment: barrel fermentation using native yeasts, complete malolactic fermentation and 12 months in French oak (50% new). The result boasts surprisingly subtle notes of pencil shavings alongside ripe pear, melon and citrus notes. It's medium to full-bodied, slightly creamy in texture and generous on the palate but with a crisp, stony, long, lemon-custard finish.
