Deep garnet in color with a hint of purple, the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals aromas of black currant, blueberries and black cherries with hints of toast, yeast extract, soy, olives and loam. Medium to full bodied with lively acid and just enough taut fruit, it has medium-firm grainy tannins and a long finish. Drinking now, it should keep to 2017. The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon is opaque purple-colored. It exhibits a classy perfume of cedar, spice box, black currant and blackberry. Full-bodied, the wine has gobs of spicy dark fruit flavors with mocha and chocolate making a presence. The wine is nicely balanced and has a long, fruity finish. Craneford has no estate vineyards, purchasing fruit from selected Barossa Valley grape growers.
