The 2007 Nebbiolo d'Alba is a big, bold wine packed with ripe fruit, sweet spices, licorice and leather. The wine combines elements of super-ripeness, rich texture and classic Nebbiolo structure in a style that is undeniably appealing. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2014. These entry-level reds from Damilano were among the best I tasted. Hopefully they will turn out to be representative of overall quality in their respective vintages here.
