The 2010 Carmenere 347 Vineyards, the number signifying the number of vineyards De Martino has vinified to date. The fruit for this wine came from Cachapoal, Maipo and Maule. It saw 50% of the wine aged for 6 months in seasoned French and American oak. It offers up a pleasant perfume of herbs, spices, violets, black currant, and blueberry. In the glass it is uncomplicated but forward, tasty, and well-made. Drink this very good value over the next 3-4 years. Importer: Opici Wines, Glen Rock, NJ; www.opiciwines.com
