The 2021 Navaherreros Blanco de Bernabeleva is a white blend of 70% Albillo Real and 30% Viura/Macabeo from old vines on decomposed granite soils. It fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured in 500-liter oak barrels and a 2,000-liter oak foudre. It has very good ripeness and aromatic complexity, with notes of yellow fruit, pollen and herbs, moderate alcohol (12.5%) and very good freshness. 6,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2022.

The 2018 Navaherreros Blanco de Bernabeleva, from a more productive year, has a higher percentage of Albillo Real, closer to 70%, with 30% Macabeo that comes from one single plot of vines. As it often happens with Albillo in cooler vintages, the slower ripening and more complete cycle delivered riper aromas and some honeyed notes. This is very young, fruit-driven and tender, with 12.5% alcohol and a medium-bodied palate with mellow acidity and tender flavors. 16,500 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2019.

The 2017 Navaherreros Blanco de Bernabeleva is a similar blend to the 2016—60% Albillo Real and 40% Macabeo—and it shows the freshness that the Albillo Real usually has in warmer years, when the ripening is fast and the phenolic ripeness is perhaps lower while the acidity remains a little higher. This is a constant when tasting the 2017s next to the 2018s, when the warmer year (2017) produced fresher whites and the cooler year (2018) seems to have delivered riper whites with more honeyed character. There is balanced and low alcohol (12%) from grapes that were picked starting the 2nd of August. The wine is harmonious, and the varieties feel very integrated. They produced 14,500 bottles that were bottled in July 2018.

The 2016 Navaherreros Blanco de Bernabeleva is a blend of 60% Albillo Real and 40% Macabeo/Viura, mixing varieties and vineyards. It keeps the poise and freshness, is nicely texture and has moderate alcohol (12.5%). It has a clean palate with focused flavors and a pleasant bitter touch in the finish, perhaps from the work with the skins. This is very obviously young, but it's already drinkable. 17,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in October 2017.

The first white was the 2015 Navaherreros Blanco de Bernabeleva, from a warm year that delivered whites of moderate alcohol and good acidity. It's a blend of 70% Albillo (Real) and 30% Macabeo/Viura mixing varieties and vineyards, from different organically farmed plots ranging from 35- to 90-year-old vines planted on granite soils at 700 to 800 meters altitude. It fermented combining some skin contact of up to 45 days and traditional barrel fermentation. It was kept in barrel for some nine months. It had a golden color because there was more skin contact, as it brings some aromas and a freshness from the stems. It has a nose of white fruit and flowers, with some notes of quince and with a touch of spices that in a way it reminded me of a young white Jura, with a faint oxidative touch. The palate showed an austere profile, with fine tannins from the skins and the stems, which makes it very appropriate for the table. 18,000 bottles were filled in July 2016.
