Gently reductive aromas of pear, white flowers, freshly baked bread and nutmeg introduce Ferret's 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé, a medium-bodied, satiny and fleshy wine that's seamless and lively, offering plenty of immediate charm in a nicely balanced format.

The 2019 Pouilly-Fuissé bursts with aromas of pear, hazelnuts, white flowers, toasted almonds and pastry cream. Medium to full-bodied, bright and precise, with tangy acids and a nicely concentrated finish, it concludes with a gently oak-inflected finish.

The 2018 Pouilly-Fuissé has turned out very well, wafting from the glass with notes of crisp Anjou pear, orange oil and toasted nuts. Medium to full-bodied, bright and precise, its elegantly textural attack segues into a tensile, racy mid-palate, concluding with a beautifully defined finish. It's a fine introduction to the Domaine Ferret range—and an excellent wine in its own right.

Offering up notes of orange rind, green pear, fresh peach and hazelnuts, the 2017 Pouilly-Fuissé is medium to full-bodied, satiny and lively, with a pretty core of fruit and a precise finish. It has turned out very nicely and represents an excellent introduction to the Ferret range.

The 2016 Pouilly-Fuissé offers up aromas of pastry cream and ripe citrus fruits, framed by subtle reduction. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, satiny and tangy. It isn't as pure and defined as the superb 2015 rendition, but it's a very creditable introductory cuvée from Domaine Ferret.
