The 2020 Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu reveals aromas of crisp green apple, white flowers and struck match. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive, it's one of the more tightly wound, chiseled wines in the range, vinified in 600-liter barrels.

The 2017 Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu is another of the more reserved and structured wines in the range, opening in the glass with scents of apple, fresh peach, beeswax and dried white flowers. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and blocky, with a layered, concentrated core underpinned by lively acids, concluding with a saline finish.

The 2016 Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu is a success, exhibiting attractive notes of fresh peach, grapefruit, mandarin oil and white flowers. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, saline and complete, with creditable depth and concentration, underpinned by nice cut. It won't ever compete with the 2017 rendition, but it's a very creditable wine that will offer a great deal of pleasure in the near term.
