The 1945 Meursault 1er Cru Les Genevrières is still very youthful, offering up aromas of buttered yellow orchard fruit, white flowers and iodine. On the palate, it's full-bodied, textural and satiny, with all the textural elegance associated with this site, concluding with a pure, chalky finish. While it's fully mature, it feels—like many 1945s—as if it could cruise along almost indefinitely.
