The 1991 Mazis-Chambertin is a lighter wine than Naddef normally produces. However, it reveals an admirable deep ruby color, some spicy, toasty new oak, and smooth, velvety-textured, ripe, moderately concentrated flavors. It should drink well for at least 6-7 years. This young, talented producer has made competent, but generally unexciting 1991s. A Jeanne-Marie Deschamps Selection, various importers.
