Aromas of cherries, raspberries, plums and sweet spices introduce the 2021 Savigny-lès-Beaune Vieilles Vignes, a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy wine with lively acids, supple tannins and a charming, open-knit profile.

The 2020 Savigny-lès-Beaune Vieilles Vignes represents another fine rendition of this remarkably consistent cuvée. Unfurling in the glass with notes of cherries, red berries, warm spices and sweet soil tones, it's medium to full-bodied, lively and concentrated, with powdery tannins and a long, sapid finish. Given its structure and substance, it will amply reward at least a few years' patience.

The 2019 Savigny-lès-Beaune Vieilles Vignes is showing brilliantly, bursting with aromas of cherries, wild berries, spices and blood orange. Medium to full-bodied, supple and velvety, it's charming and fleshy, with an ample core of bright, lively fruit framed by melting tannins.

The 2018 Savigny-lès-Beaune Vieilles Vignes is a beauty, wafting from the glass with aromas of cherries, raspberries, spices and grilled squab. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, it's supple and succulent, displaying considerable charm. Guillemot opted to vinify this cuvée with 40% whole clusters this year. Given the consistency of this cuvée and the reasonable tariff it commands, this is often one of the C?te d'Or's sleepers.

The 2017 Savigny-lès-Beaune Vieilles Vignes is showing very well from bottle, bursting from the glass with an inviting bouquet of raspberries, spices and incense. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and succulent, with a generous core of fruit, melting tannins and juicy acids, this will offer a broad window of delicious drinking.
