The 2016 Savigny-lès-Beaune Vieilles Vignes is a success, wafting from the glass with notes of cherries, blood orange, lavender and spices. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and succulent, with good depth at the core, ripe acids and a flavorful finish. This year Guillemot blended his grapes from Les Grands Picotins into the Vieilles Vignes bottling due to the small quantities.
