Unwinding in the glass with aromas of sweet dark berries, cassis and spices, the 2020 Corton Grand Cru is medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with terrific depth at the core, chalky tannins and lively acids. It will demand a bit of patience, but it will be worth the wait.

The 2019 Corton Grand Cru has also turned out very well, exhibiting aromas of red berries, spices, forest floor and orange oil. Full-bodied, layered and perfumed, with fine concentration, powdery tannins and lively acids, it's elegantly muscular in profile, concluding with a long, sapid finish. The 2017 Corton Grand Cru unfurls in the glass with aromas of cassis, wild berries, rich forest floor and wood smoke. On the palate, it's full-bodied, dense and powerful, with chewy structuring tannins, impressive depth at the core and a long, expansive finish. This should be long-lived, and it's the cuvée Rapet matured in barrel the longest. The Corton displays a medium-to-dark ruby color, cassis and blackberry aromas as well as a thick, chewy, ripe, and medium-to-full-bodied personality.
