Old red wines from domaine Rapet can be superb, and the 1964 Corton Grand Cru was no exception, offering up aromas of dark berry fruit, plums, loamy soil, petals and orange rind. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and layered, with a pretty core of fruit and melting tannins, it's a charmingly elegant, fine-boned wine from both a site and a vintage that tend toward overt muscularity.
