A blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot, 3% Malbec, 2% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc – all fruit off the estate - the 2010 Parterre Cabernet Sauvignon casts a deep garnet-purple color and reveals notes of freshly crushed black currants, black plums, cedar and cloves with underlying hints of menthol, pencil shavings and black olives. Medium-bodied in the mouth, it has a good concentration of taut, youthful blackberry flavors with the oak still barely detectable. The tannins are medium to firm and chewy giving ample support along with the crisp acid throughout the long finish. Drink this one 2013 to 2019+.
