The 2019 Parterre Cabernet Sauvignon is juicy, bright and beautiful. The style at Fraser Gallop errs toward earlier picks, although the 14% alcohol on the label coupled with the ripe fruit in the mouth suggests that, in this cool year, picking was "when ripe." This is a delicious wine that routinely offers brilliant value-for-money drinking and a very elegant Cabernet experience. It is composed of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Malbec, 5% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc.

It's possible to sense the cool year in this wine's herbal aromas that come close to being bell-peppery. The 2017 Parterre Cabernet Sauvignon is tart and medium-bodied, with red currants and pie cherries framed by cedary oak and dry tannins.

A single-vineyard blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot, 4% Merlot and 4% Malbec that has 18 months of barrel aging, the medium garnet-purple colored 2012 Parterre Cabernet Sauvignon is a little reticent on the nose at this youthful stage, offering notions of red plums, black raspberries and black cherries with hints of cedar, anise and pencil lead. Medium-bodied, it gives great intensity of elegant red fruit flavors matched by well-played oak and refreshing acidity before finishing long with earth and spice layers. Drink it now to 2020+. Fraser Gallop does not currently have a USA importer.

A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5.5% Petit Verdot, 5% Merlot and 4.5% Malbec, the single-vineyard 2011 Parterre Cabernet Sauvignon is medium garnet-purple in color and opens with a nose of kirsch, dried mulberries and redcurrant jelly accented by nuances of lavender, thyme and underbrush. Medium-bodied, it is slightly hard and austere in the mouth, with a modest level of herbal-laced fruit and a finish that is a little tart. Drink it now to 2018. Fraser Gallop does not currently have a USA importer.

A blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot, 3% Malbec, 2% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc – all fruit off the estate - the 2010 Parterre Cabernet Sauvignon casts a deep garnet-purple color and reveals notes of freshly crushed black currants, black plums, cedar and cloves with underlying hints of menthol, pencil shavings and black olives. Medium-bodied in the mouth, it has a good concentration of taut, youthful blackberry flavors with the oak still barely detectable. The tannins are medium to firm and chewy giving ample support along with the crisp acid throughout the long finish. Drink this one 2013 to 2019+. Fraser Gallop does not currently have a USA importer.
