A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5.5% Petit Verdot, 5% Merlot and 4.5% Malbec, the single-vineyard 2011 Parterre Cabernet Sauvignon is medium garnet-purple in color and opens with a nose of kirsch, dried mulberries and redcurrant jelly accented by nuances of lavender, thyme and underbrush. Medium-bodied, it is slightly hard and austere in the mouth, with a modest level of herbal-laced fruit and a finish that is a little tart. Drink it now to 2018.
