Fermented with wild yeast and aged for 18 months in French barriques, 20% new, the 2008 Brancott Valley Pinot Noir has a deep ruby color and aromas of red plums, black raspberries and black cherries with hints of loam, cinnamon stick and roasted nuts. Medium bodied with crisp acid and grainy tannins, it offers just enough taut fruit in the mouth, finishing long and earthy. Drink it now to 2015.
