Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2010 Barossa Shiraz has a pronounced nose of blueberries and blackberry compote with nuances of Provence herbs and spice cake. Medium to full-bodied, it is generously fruited with crisp acid to enliven and a medium level of rounded tannins, finishing long with pepper and spice notes. Delicious now, it should keep to 2016. Grant Burge's 2008 Shiraz is a solid effort with a very deep garnet-purple color as well as a spicy nose of cloves and aniseed over a core of warm blueberries and blackberries.
