Tasted alongside another 2004 Zin sourced from the same vineyard; that wine was overripe and raisiny. This one isn’t. It’s certainly a ripe wine, bursting with cherry, blackberry, plum and carob flavors, but has a polished balance. It’s a classic Zinfandel, dry, smooth and complex.——S.H.(6/1/2007)—— 88
