Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered, it's generous and fruit driven, with melting tannins and lively acids. This is one of the most immediate, charming renditions of Drouhin's Chorey-lès-Beaune that I can remember tasting.

Bursting with scents of ripe strawberries, cassis and spices, the 2018 Chorey-lès-Beaune Village is medium-bodied, succulent and fruit-driven, with a charming, accessible profile.

The 2017 Chorey-lès-Beaune Village exhibits expressive aromas of cherries and spicy wild berries. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, juicy and open-knit, with chalky structuring tannins but a supple, giving profile in the context of the appellation.

Aromas of earthy cherries and red berries introduce the 2016 Chorey-lès-Beaune Village, a medium-bodied wine with an elegant attack, tangy acids and a juicy core of fruit, its youthfully chewy Chorey tannins only asserting themselves on the finish. It's a creditable effort that's somewhat more elegant than the brawnier 2015 rendition.

The 2015 Chorey-lès-Beaune Village from Drouhin is one of the house's more rustic communal appellations, wafting from the glass with notes of candied red cherry, soil and grilled meat, showing a light touch of reduction. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with juicy acids and chewy tannins which clamp down on the finish.
