The 2012 Riesling offers a lovely perfume of honeysuckle and white peaches with hints of jasmine, mandarin peel and fresh pears. Dry, light-bodied and with plenty of honeyed citrus fruit flavors in the mouth, it has racy acid carrying the pure zesty fruit through the long finish. Approachable now, it should drink to 2020+. Majella does not currently have a USA importer.

The 2010 Riesling displays intense lime juice and honeysuckle aromas with hints of orange blossom and mandarin peel. Medium bodied and dry on the palate, it has lively acid, good intensity and a long finish. Drink it now to 2021+. Catching-up with owner Brian Lynn recently, in addition to his current releases I tasted through verticals of Majella’s Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and The Malleea to track the evolution of the styles. The results go to show, it certainly pays to put a few bottles of these well constructed wines away. Majella does not currently have a US importer.
