The 2010 Les Enfants Terribles (55% Mourvedre and 45% Syrah, aged 50% in small barrels and 50% in tank) looks to have outstanding potential. Dense ruby/purple, with hints of blueberry, charcoal, licorice, bouquet garni and acacia flowers, it is elegant, complex, rich, dense and best consumed over the next 3-4 years, although I wouldn’t be surprised to see it last longer. Mas Carlot is run by the female half of the husband and wife team of Nathalie Blanc-Mares and Cyril Mares. Cyril is responsible for the Mas des Bressades wines, which are consistently excellent, as are these.Importer: Robert Kacher Selections, Washington, DC; tel. (202) 832-9083
