With a probable release date of 2021 or 2022, the 2015 Sevenhill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon won't be on shelves anytime soon. That said, it has been bottled, and it's another beautiful, elegant effort. Floral, tea-like and red currant aromas mark the nose, while the medium to full-bodied palate is quite firm and astringent but ultimately silky and long on the finish. This wine looks to have two decades of longevity.

Drawn from the vines planted around the house and winery, the 2012 Sevenhill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is the current release. It shows perfumed nuances of violets and red currants against a backdrop of tobacco. It's medium-bodied, firm but silky, with delicate fruit and persistent tannins on the finish. It's the antidote to big, ripe styles, but it doesn't lack concentration or length.
