The 2008 Chardonnay Napa exhibits more honeyed, smoky hazelnut notes along with notions of tropical fruit. Qualitatively, it is the equivalent of the Carneros, but it is slightly more expensive as well as more limited in production. The two single vineyard Chardonnays reveal abundant acidity as well as minerality, but are backward in their evolution.
