The 2010 Viognier was also fermented and aged in stainless steel. White peach and apricot notes inform the nose of a dry, intense, vibrant wine with impeccable balance and length. It will provide pleasure for at least 2-3 years, perhaps longer. Veteran vigneron Lynn Penner-Ash had just celebrated a milestone birthday prior to my visit and, like her wines, she appeared to be evolving gracefully. The stainless steel fermented and raised 2008 Viognier is light straw-colored with lovely pit fruit aromas and flavors. On the palate it is medium-bodied with superb concentration, ripe, dry flavors and impeccable balance, followed by a lengthy, fruit-filled finish. Drink it over the next 2-3 years.
