Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2009 “The Red Mullet” Shiraz, Tempranillo, Grenache, Merlot presents aromas of kirsch, red currant preserves and stewed rhubarb over hints of cinnamon stick, black tea and tobacco leaf. Nicely balanced with mouth-filling warm red berry and earthy flavors, it has a good backbone of lively acid and medium level chewy tannins, finishing with medium-long persitence.
