The 2016 Ars Nova was produced with 40% Tempranillo, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot that matured in 300-liter oak barrels for nine months after which it was blended and kept in concrete for two years. It has 14.5% alcohol and some development, showing its age, with more tertiary aromas, hints of brick dust, berries and herbs. The palate reveals some rusticity and dusty tannins. 26,600 bottles produced. It was bottled in January 2023.

The herbal and spicy notes and the amber color of the 2014 Ars Nova couldn't hide the dominant Bordeaux varieties in the blend. It's 40% Tempranillo, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot that is creamy and juicy, polished and developed. It was bottled after nine months in 300-liter oak barrels and at least two years in underground concrete vats. It's perfect for current drinking, polished and very representative of what it is. 40,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2019.

The 2008 Ars Nova is a 40/40/20 blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot aged for two years in concrete vats and nine months in French oak barrels. This is again dominated by the aromatics of the Bordeaux grapes and their peppery personality, with some harsh tannins that are a bit worrying at age six. Drink now-2017. Tandem is a new name in Navarra, created in 2003 in the Yerri Valley, where soils are rich in clay and their 22 hectares of vineyards are located at 600 meters altitude. The wines are moved by gravity and mature for at least two years in underground concrete vats. I didn’t have the chance to taste their top wine, the 100% Cabernet Sauvignon Ars Memoria.
