A straightforward nose of melon, passion fruit and a touch of mango that is just a little muffled. The palate is very fruit-driven, quite tropical with passion fruit, apricot, mandarin and pear. Good balance, quite linear with a nice crisp orange-zest finish. Moderate length. Fine. Drink now. Tasted January 2008.

Like most unoaked Chardonnays, this is a bit simply fruity, but it’s also clean and fresh. Apple, melon and citrus flavors are easily carried by its medium body and mouthwatering finish.——J.C.(12/1/2007)—— 86
