The 2020 Zeltinger Schlossberg Auslese shows a pure, fresh and flinty bouquet of weathered slate with intense lemon aromas. Lush and generous on the palate, this is a highly refined and elegant Auslese with super stimulating salinity on the finish. It's absolutely gorgeous due to its balance and finesse and very, very stimulating. 8% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in July 2022.

The first two-starred Auslese since 2003! With 15% to 20% botrytis, the 2019 Zeltinger Schlossberg Riesling Auslese ** is clear, intense and precise on the nose, which is fine yet concentrated and darker-toned compared to the other Auslesen from this terroir. Sharp, piquant and salty on the palate, this is a terribly fresh yet dense and energetic Riesling with challenging concentration and acidity. Tasted at the domain in September 2020.

With a touch of botrytis (5%), the 2018 Zeltinger Schlossberg Riesling Auslese * is fresh and flinty on the coolish, bright, airy and lemon-scented nose. Piquant, fresh and thoroughly limey on the palate, this is a moderately sweet and racy-piquant Auslese with an intense and juicy finish with grip and tension. Very young, this one will be much more pleasurable in 10-12 years. Tasted at the domain in September 2020.

The 2016 Zeltinger Schlossberg Riesling Auslese * (AP 22 17) offers a deep, pure, cool and smoky bouquet of ripe and concentrated Riesling fruits along with crunchy slate plates. Silky, round and lush on the palate, with very fine tannins and lingering salinity, this is a gorgeously fine and salty Riesling with structure, finesse and tensioned length. Extremely stimulating and fine, with weathering slate on the palate. Pure and salty, just gorgeous.

The 2015 Zeltinger Schlossberg Riesling Auslese * is super clear and flinty on the nose, with smoky/dusty flavors of crushed stones and very clear pineapple aromas. The wine shows a great finesse and elegance on the palate, is lush and perfectly ripe, as well as piquant, firmly structured, very salty and long in the tension-filled finish. This is an aristocratic Auslese of great precision, finesse and elegance; it is probably the finest Auslese of the vintage at Selbach-Oster. The finish is so pure and endlessly salty!
