Compared to the estate wine, the 2022 Weissburgunder Reserve is the more international-styled Pinot Blanc of the domaine. Intense but elegant, with initially minty-scented sur lies aromas and mineral notes on the nose, this is a full-bodied, rich and creamy but elegant and refined Pinot Blanc with fine tannins, a vibrantly mineral soul and fresh lemon notes in the aftertaste. Aged in halbstücks (with some percentage of new oak), this should be, especially after some years in the bottle, a Siefersheim Pinot Blanc rather than a Burgundy from western Rheinhessen. 13% stated alcohol. The 2021 Weissburgunder Reserve opens with an intense and generous but refined and elegant bouquet of ripe and lush white and yellow fruits, brioche and flinty nuances along with a delicate, refreshing phenolic note. Round and elegant on the palate, this is a medium to full-bodied, wide and juicy Pinot Blanc with ripe and imbedded acidity and fine grip on the finish. Not very long or complex but a mouthful of elegant Pinot Blanc from Siefersheim's volcanic terroirs. 13% stated alcohol. Diam cork. Tasted in December 2022.

The 2020 Weissburgunder Reserve is clear, pure and fresh on the nose that is reminiscent of ripe white fruits (pears) and finely milled stones. Crystalline, precise, fresh and elegant on the palate, this is a medium-bodied Pinot Blanc that is somewhat leaner than the 2019 but not less tensioned or stimulating. The finish is quite intense but in a fruity rather than a structural aspect. 13% stated alcohol. Diam cork. Tasted in January 2022.

The 2019 Weissburgunder Reserve is sourced from VDP. Erste Lage (premier cru) vineyards predominantly or even entirely in Siefersheim and opens with an intense, refined and elegant nose reminiscent of sur lie aging and eventually a touch of traditional oak that doesn't give oaky flavors but a certain development that opens the bouquet and gives it a French attitude yet with the purity of the Siefersheim terroir. On the palate, this is a round, charming, very elegant and balanced Pinot Blanc with texture, ripe and fine acidity and lingering salinity. This Pinot has the sur lie complexity and fruity elegance of a fine white Burgundy even if the crystalline and minerally fresh finish is not from limestone but volcanic or even crystalline rocks. 13% stated alcohol.
