The 2007 Shiraz was aged in French (35% new) and American oak. Deep purple-colored, it gives up aromas of pain grille, pencil lead, Asian spices, and blueberry. Firm on the palate with plenty of underlying structure, it has the fruit to balance the tannins. However, it will require 4-6 years of cellaring to fill out.
