Denis Barraud has crafted a very impressive 2016 Lynsolence. It has a crisp and well defined bouquet with blackberry and wild hedgerow scents, a little muted at first but just a few swirls is all it needs. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannin on the entry, a fine bead of acidity, well balanced with a harmonious finish with a cheeky hint of orange rind. More refined than I have noticed compared to previous vintages, yet maintaining intensity, this comes highly recommended.
